Community Service Day 2023
‘Community Service Day’ was observed by Pillai Group of Institutions on 4th February, 2023. The campus hosted 750 people from marginalised communities to a fun filled day of games, activities and entertainment. Reputed social worker, Mr. Nitin Indira – Vishnu Kadam, Founder of NGO ‘Trend Setters’ spoke to the Heads of Institutions and faculty members on the importance of inculcating a spirit of service in young minds.

One of the goals of Mahatma Education Society is to create a culture of service in the students who study in their institutions. They are made to come out of their comfort zones and are made to realise that there is another world which exists where there is hunger, poverty, lack of education; where people are differently abled, differently challenged and we need to empathise with their needs. In observing ‘Community Service Day’, students are exposed to this world and reach out to the marginalised in different ways and try to make a difference in their lives.
